Power of Education: The Impact in Society

JSW MG Motor in partnership with Baroda Citizens Council, supports SAVERA an educational sponsorship initiative, which facilitates the schooling of underprivileged children by funding their annual fees and nurturing their aspirations through sustained academic and life guidance.

The project has, for the past six years, enabled 505 underprivileged girls each year to continue their education, focusing on those who are orphans, have single parents, or belong to very low socio-economic backgrounds.

SAVERA supports girl students from classes 3 to 12 who are not only continuing their schooling but often excelling, with many achieving top percentile scores in board examinations. This project is run across five blocks in Panchmahal district Halol, Kalol, Godhra, Ghoghamba and Jambughoda.

By easing the financial burden on families and offering counselling to both students and parents, the project promotes holistic development, improves literacy, reduces dropouts, and encourages communities to view girls’ education as a pathway to dignity, opportunity, and independence, creating a quiet yet powerful ripple of change - one girl, one family, one future.

Project Prerna

Threads of Change

Project Prerna was launched in 2020 in collaboration with Baroda Citizens Council to equip women from underserved communities with free stitching and embroidery training, turning skills into a source of strength and independence. What began as vocational training evolved into a transformative journey, enabling women who once had no steady income to support their families, stand on their own feet and inspire others in their communities.

Since inception, the initiative has empowered over 670 women and touched more than 3,380 individuals indirectly through training, exhibitions, and market linkages, with many participants now earning upto ₹25,000 per month based on their skills and orders.
